Clinical Cases:
Definition: A disease of Cats characterized by licking at the perineal region and draining tract.
Anal sac: A sacs located laterally to the anus between the internal and external sphincter of the anus and contain anal glands.
Signs and symptoms:
- Tenesmus
- Licking of the perineal region
- Draining tract
Diagnosis: By appearance of clinical signs which mentioned before.
Treatment:
- Manual Expression: In anesthesized condition (Can use sedative also) Removal of thick ended secretion by squeezing
- Administration of antiseptic solution such as dilute chlorhexidine
- Antibiotic administration
