Clinical Cases:
Definition: Abnormal decrease in the circulating Red blood cells (RBCs) and Hemoglobin.
Cause:
-There are many Causes of Anemia as:
- Infection with erythrocyte parasites as (Mycoplasma parasites,Babesia ….etc) Which cause hemolysis
- Blood loss due to Trauma or surgical wound
- Splenic Disease (Splenomegaly)
- Red blood cell aplasia
- Chronic inflammatory diseases
- Chronic renal diseases
- Neoplasia
Signs and Symptoms:
- Loss of appetite
- Irregular heart rate
- General weakness
- Weight loss
- Nausea
- May be Vomiting occur
Diagnosis:
- From the diseased mentioned before which cause Anemia
- Complete blood count (CPC)
- Reticulocyte count
- Bone marrow examination
- Radiography
- Coagulation test
Treatment:
- Transfusion of blood Hemoglobin solution as Oxyglobin
- Emphasis should be placed
- Treatment of the causative disease
