Candidiasis in Poultry .. Cause,Signs and Treatment

Clinical Signs:

Open crop - Necrosis - Turkish towel Appearance - Candidiasis

Definition: A Disease of Chicken of Pigeon Caused by Candida Species.

Cause:

  • Candida albicans (The most common one)
  • Candida Krusei
  • Candida Pullorm

Signs and Symptoms:

  • 100% Morbidity
  • Stunned growth
  • loss of appetite
  • Rough feather
  • listlessness

Diagnosis:

  • Clinical Signs
  • P.M lesions
  • Histological test
  • Isolation technique
  • Incubation Technique

Treatment:

  • Nystain in food
  • Mycostain 200 mg/ton of food
  • Hamycin 10 ml suspension/L
  • Vit K
